As a Refrigerator Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems used in commercial and residential settings. Your primary duties will include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring that refrigeration systems operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities: Inspecting refrigeration systems to identify problems and determine the appropriate course of action. Repairing or replacing defective components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves. Testing system functionality and ensuring proper refrigerant levels. Installing new refrigeration systems according to specifications and industry standards. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking for leaks, and lubricating moving parts. Responding to service calls and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner. Documenting all work performed, including parts used and labor hours. Providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Keeping up-to-date with advancements in refrigeration technology and attending training sessions as needed. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in refrigeration or HVAC systems is preferred. Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting. Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, including knowledge of refrigerants and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex issues. Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in refrigeration repair and maintenance. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions. Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
