Removing dirt, grease, rust, and old paint using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure a smooth and clean surface. Color Matching: Matching paint colors to vehicle manufacturer specifications or customer preferences. Using color charts, swatches, or computerized color matching systems to select and mix paint colors accurately. Paint Mixing: Mixing paints, primers, and clear coats to the desired consistency and color according to specifications. Following paint manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines for proper mixing ratios and application techniques. Spray Painting: Operating spray painting equipment, including spray guns, compressors, and related tools, to apply paint coatings evenly and efficiently on vehicle surfaces. Adjusting spray gun settings for spray pattern, air pressure, and paint flow to achieve desired results.
