As a member of our housekeeping staff in Kozhikode, your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests and employees. You will play a crucial role in upholding high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout our premises. Below are the key responsibilities associated with this position: Room Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, suites, and public areas according to established standards and procedures. Making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and emptying trash bins. Bathroom Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors. Replacing towels, toiletries, and other amenities as needed. Refilling soap dispensers and toilet paper rolls. Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in corridors, hallways, lobbies, and other public areas. Removing stains, spills, and debris promptly to maintain a clean and safe environment. Surface Cleaning: Dusting and wiping down surfaces, countertops, tables, chairs, and other furniture. Polishing wood surfaces, glass doors, and mirrors to ensure a sparkling appearance. Window Cleaning: Cleaning windows, glass doors, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Removing fingerprints, smudges, and streaks for a clear and polished finish. Trash Removal: Collecting and disposing of trash, garbage, and recyclable materials from guest rooms, public areas, and office spaces. Emptying trash bins, ashtrays, and waste receptacles regularly and replacing liners as needed. Linen Management: Collecting, sorting, and laundering linens, towels, and bedding as required. Folding and organizing clean linens for storage and distribution. Inventory Control: Monitoring inventory levels of cleaning supplies, amenities, and guestroom supplies. Notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished and assisting with inventory management as needed. Safety Compliance: Adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and procedures. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and following safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries. Team Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with other housekeeping staff members, supervisors, and department heads to coordinate cleaning schedules, prioritize tasks, and address specific cleaning needs or requirements. Requirements: Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or cleaning is preferred but not required. Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Physical fitness and stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying objects. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and completing tasks efficiently. Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the facility. Fluency in English and proficiency in Malayalam would be an advantage.
