As part of our team, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to oversee our inventory and warehouse activities. Job Description: 1. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts, replenishment, and adjustments, using inventory management software or manual tracking systems. Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply of products/materials for production or distribution and avoid stockouts or overstock situations. 2. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments of goods and materials, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and shipping documents. Inspect incoming items for damages, defects, or discrepancies, and document any issues for resolution with suppliers. 3. Storage and Organization: Ensure proper storage and organization of products/materials in the warehouse or storage area, utilizing shelving, racks, and labeling systems to optimize space and facilitate easy retrieval. Arrange items systematically according to type, size, and expiration date, and implement FIFO (first-in, first-out) or other inventory rotation methods as needed. 4. Issuance and Distribution: Fulfill internal requisitions and external orders for products/materials, accurately picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment or delivery. Coordinate with logistics partners or carriers to arrange transportation and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or other locations. 5. Inventory Control and Reporting: Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify discrepancies or variances. Generate inventory reports, consumption trends, and analysis to support decision-making and inventory planning efforts. 6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while handling and storing hazardous materials, chemicals, or perishable goods. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards related to inventory management and storage practices. 7. Record-Keeping and Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, receipts, issuances, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation. Prepare shipping documents, delivery receipts, and other paperwork related to inventory movement and distribution activities. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse assistant, or in a similar role, preferably in a retail, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing inventory and warehouse operations. Ability to use inventory management software, barcode scanners, and other warehouse tools effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and interact with suppliers and customers. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.
