As part of our dedicated team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Computer Technician to provide technical support and repair services to our clients. Job Description: 1. Hardware Diagnosis and Repair: Perform diagnostic tests to identify hardware issues in desktops, laptops, and servers, including but not limited to CPU, RAM, motherboard, hard drive, and peripheral components. Repair or replace faulty hardware components using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring proper functionality and compatibility. 2. Software Installation and Troubleshooting: Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software applications on desktops and laptops. Resolve software-related issues, including system crashes, driver conflicts, malware infections, and software errors, through troubleshooting and repair techniques. 3. Network Setup and Configuration: Set up and configure local area networks (LANs), wireless networks, and network peripherals, such as routers, switches, and access points. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, IP conflicts, and network security issues to ensure smooth operation of network infrastructure. 4. Peripheral Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, external hard drives, and monitors, to ensure proper functionality and compatibility. Perform routine maintenance tasks on peripherals, such as cleaning, calibration, and firmware updates, to optimize performance and longevity. 5. Data Backup and Recovery: Assist clients in setting up data backup solutions and implementing backup schedules to prevent data loss. Perform data recovery operations to retrieve lost or corrupted data from storage devices, such as hard drives, SSDs, and memory cards. 6. Customer Service and Support: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, providing technical assistance, advice, and recommendations on computer hardware and software issues. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction with technical support services rendered. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware and Networking, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Computer Technician or IT support technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues and performing repairs and upgrades. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
