Job Description: 1. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Perform comprehensive diagnostics to identify hardware and software issues in laptops, including but not limited to display problems, power issues, keyboard malfunctions, and software errors. Utilize diagnostic tools, software utilities, and testing equipment to pinpoint the root cause of laptop problems accurately. 2. Hardware Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty laptop components, including LCD screens, keyboards, touchpads, batteries, hard drives, RAM modules, and other internal and external components. Ensure proper handling, installation, and alignment of replacement parts to maintain the structural integrity and functionality of laptops. 3. Software Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, such as operating system errors, driver conflicts, malware infections, and system crashes. Perform operating system installations, software updates, and driver installations to restore laptop functionality and performance. 4. Data Recovery and Backup: Perform data recovery operations to retrieve lost or inaccessible data from damaged or corrupted laptop hard drives. Assist customers in backing up and transferring data to external storage devices or cloud storage solutions to prevent data loss during repair processes. 5. Customer Service and Support: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear explanations of repair options, estimates, and timelines. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction with repair services rendered. 6. Quality Control and Testing: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on repaired laptops to ensure proper functionality, performance, and reliability. Document repair procedures, component replacements, and test results accurately in service tickets and repair logs. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware and Networking, Electronics Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Laptop Repair Technician or IT support technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Expertise in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues in laptops of various brands and models. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, software utilities, and testing equipment used in laptop repair. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
