As part of our dedicated team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Computer Hardware Technician to join us in delivering reliable hardware repair solutions to our clients. Job Description: 1. Hardware Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Perform thorough diagnostic tests to identify hardware faults and malfunctions in desktops, laptops, servers, and peripheral devices. Use diagnostic tools, software utilities, and testing equipment to assess hardware performance, identify faulty components, and isolate root causes of issues. 2. Component Replacement and Repair: Replace or repair faulty hardware components, including CPUs, GPUs, RAM modules, hard drives, SSDs, power supplies, and peripherals, using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure compatibility of replacement parts with device specifications and compatibility with existing hardware components. 3. System Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform hardware upgrades, such as RAM upgrades, hard drive replacements, GPU upgrades, and CPU upgrades, to improve system performance and functionality. Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning dust and debris from internal components, applying thermal paste, and optimizing system settings for better efficiency. 4. Peripheral Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and monitors, to ensure proper connectivity and functionality. Address compatibility issues, driver conflicts, and configuration settings to ensure seamless integration with client systems. 5. Quality Control and Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance checks on repaired devices to verify hardware functionality, performance, and reliability. Document test results, repair procedures, and component replacements accurately for reference and record-keeping purposes. 6. Customer Interaction and Support: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, providing technical advice, repair estimates, and updates on repair progress. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction with repair services rendered. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware and Networking, Electronics Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Computer Hardware Technician or IT support technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills and knowledge of computer hardware components, peripheral devices, and troubleshooting techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hardware repair equipment, and testing software. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality repairs.
