As part of our dynamic team, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to contribute to the development of architectural and engineering drawings for our projects. Job Description: 1. Drawing Production: Create detailed architectural and engineering drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Interpret sketches, rough drawings, and specifications provided by architects and engineers to produce accurate and comprehensive construction drawings. 2. Drafting Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to drafting standards, drawing conventions, and best practices in the preparation of architectural and engineering drawings. Review and incorporate design changes, corrections, and markups as directed by project managers and design team members. 3. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, such as schedules, material lists, and specifications, to support the construction and procurement processes. Organize and maintain drawing files, project records, and documentation in accordance with company standards and project requirements. 4. Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to coordinate drawing production and resolve design-related issues. Participate in design reviews, meetings, and site visits to ensure alignment between design intent and construction documentation. 5. Quality Control and Assurance: Conduct quality checks and reviews of drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards. Identify and rectify errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies in drawings to maintain high-quality documentation. 6. Project Support and Assistance: Provide support to project managers, architects, and engineers in the preparation of design presentations, reports, and deliverables. Assist in the preparation of construction bid packages, permit applications, and regulatory submissions as needed. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Architectural Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Draughtsman in an architectural or engineering firm. Strong technical drawing skills and knowledge of drafting principles, standards, and practices. Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise drawings within specified deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Kerala is an asset.
