As part of our dedicated team, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Chip-Level Technician to join us in providing high-quality repair services to our customers. Job Description: 1. Component-Level Diagnosis: Conduct in-depth diagnostic tests to identify hardware faults and malfunctions in electronic devices, including issues with circuit boards, integrated circuits (ICs), and other electronic components. Use schematic diagrams, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to trace and isolate faults at the component level. 2. Circuit Board Repair and Soldering: Repair or replace damaged components on circuit boards, such as capacitors, resistors, diodes, transistors, and ICs, using soldering irons and rework stations. Perform soldering and desoldering tasks with precision and accuracy to ensure proper connections and avoid damage to surrounding components. 3. Microsoldering and BGA Rework: Conduct microsoldering operations to repair small-scale components, connectors, and traces on circuit boards, using specialized tools and techniques. Perform BGA (Ball Grid Array) rework procedures, including reballing, reflowing, and replacing BGA chips, to address issues with solder joints or damaged ICs. 4. Firmware and Software Flashing: Flash firmware updates or custom software onto electronic devices to resolve software-related issues, unlock features, or install custom ROMs as per client requirements. Ensure compatibility and functionality of firmware/software updates with the device hardware and specifications. 5. Quality Control and Testing: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on repaired devices to verify functionality, performance, and reliability. Document test results, repair procedures, and component replacements accurately for reference and record-keeping purposes. 6. Customer Interaction and Support: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, providing technical advice, repair estimates, and updates on repair progress. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction with repair services rendered. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Hardware, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Chip-Level Technician or Electronics Repair Technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. Strong technical skills and knowledge of electronic components, circuitry, and soldering techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, soldering equipment, and microsoldering tools. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality repairs. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced repair environment.
