As part of our technical team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator to manage and maintain our clients' IT infrastructure effectively. Job Description: 1. System Maintenance and Support: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and system upgrades, to ensure the stability, security, and performance of servers, workstations, and network devices. Monitor system logs, alerts, and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues, minimize downtime, and optimize system resources. 2. Network Administration: Manage and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, to ensure reliable and secure connectivity for users and devices. Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs, to protect against unauthorized access and security threats. 3. User Management and Access Control: Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems and applications, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to account access, authentication, and authorization. 4. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup solutions to protect critical data and systems from loss or corruption, including regular backups, offsite storage, and recovery testing. Develop and document disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure timely recovery of systems and data in the event of a hardware failure, natural disaster, or cybersecurity incident. 5. System Security and Compliance: Monitor and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security risks and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity of operations. Generate and distribute reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status to management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Proven work experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role, with hands-on experience in managing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP), and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Security+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites for onsite support and service calls as needed.
