We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Wheel Alignment Technician to join our automotive service team in Kozhikode. The Wheel Alignment Technician will be responsible for performing wheel alignments, tire balancing, and related services to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. Responsibilities: Wheel Alignment: Perform accurate wheel alignments using computerized alignment equipment. Adjust camber, caster, and toe angles according to vehicle manufacturer specifications to ensure proper wheel alignment and tire wear. Tire Balancing: Conduct tire balancing procedures to eliminate vibrations and ensure smooth tire rotation. Use wheel balancers to detect and correct imbalances in tire and wheel assemblies. Diagnostic Testing: Conduct diagnostic tests to identify alignment issues, tire wear patterns, and steering problems. Inspect suspension components, steering linkage, and tire condition for signs of damage or wear. Alignment Adjustment: Adjust suspension and steering components as needed to correct alignment problems and improve vehicle handling and stability. Replace worn or damaged parts such as tie rods, ball joints, and control arms. Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain alignment findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance procedures. Provide accurate cost estimates and timeframes for service completion. Address customer questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Quality Control: Ensure accuracy and precision in wheel alignment and balancing procedures. Perform final quality checks and test drives to verify alignment accuracy and vehicle performance before returning vehicles to customers. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain alignment and balancing equipment in good working condition. Calibrate and adjust equipment as needed to ensure accurate measurements and consistent results. Perform routine maintenance tasks and keep work area clean and organized. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Follow proper lifting techniques and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with heavy equipment or hazardous materials. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Wheel Alignment Technician or in a similar role. Certification from an accredited automotive technology program or vocational school (preferred). Proficiency in operating computerized alignment and balancing equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle systems and components. Attention to detail and precision in alignment and balancing procedures. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
