We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Thiruvananthapuram. The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems, including refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines, to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction. Responsibilities: Installation: Install new refrigeration systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Ensure proper placement, alignment, and connection of refrigeration components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and piping. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections of refrigeration systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns. Clean coils, fans, and condensate drains, and check refrigerant levels and pressures to ensure efficient operation. Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system malfunctions, including cooling problems, compressor failures, and electrical faults. Perform repairs and replacements of defective components, such as compressors, valves, thermostats, and motors. Refrigerant Handling: Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with environmental regulations. Perform refrigerant recovery, recycling, and charging procedures using proper equipment and techniques to prevent leaks and minimize environmental impact. System Testing: Test refrigeration systems for proper operation, temperature control, and airflow. Monitor system performance and adjust settings as needed to achieve optimal cooling and energy efficiency. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all refrigeration installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Keep detailed service logs, work orders, and equipment manuals for reference and compliance purposes. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and communication throughout the installation, repair, and maintenance process. Explain procedures, findings, and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner. Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and courteously. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology. Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or HVACR Technician. Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, components, and controls. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration system malfunctions. Familiarity with refrigerant handling procedures and safety protocols. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
