We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tyre Fitter to join our team in Neyyattinkara. The Tyre Fitter will be responsible for fitting, balancing, and repairing tyres on various vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities: Tyre Fitting: Fit new tyres onto rims and install them onto vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. Ensure proper alignment and seating of tyres on rims to prevent air leaks and ensure safe operation. Wheel Balancing: Balance wheels and tyres using wheel balancing machines to eliminate vibrations and ensure smooth operation. Add or remove wheel weights as needed to achieve optimal balance. Tyre Repair: Repair punctures, cuts, and other damage to tyres using patching materials, plugs, and vulcanizing equipment. Inspect tyres for damage and assess the feasibility of repairs versus replacement. Tyre Rotation: Rotate tyres on vehicles according to manufacturer recommendations to promote even wear and extend tyre lifespan. Identify and address abnormal wear patterns or alignment issues during rotation. Pressure Checking: Check tyre pressure using tyre pressure gauges and adjust pressure as needed to meet manufacturer specifications. Educate customers on the importance of proper tyre inflation for safety and fuel efficiency. Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, listening to their concerns and providing expert advice and recommendations. Explain tyre fitting and repair procedures clearly and accurately. Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of tyres, tubes, valves, and related supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for fitting and repairs. Order new inventory as needed and organize stock in the workshop for easy access. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when working with tyres, rims, and related equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries. Requirements: Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter or Tyre Technician, with a strong background in tyre fitting, balancing, and repair. Technical certification or diploma in automotive mechanics or a related field preferred. Proficiency in using tyre fitting tools and equipment, including tyre changers, wheel balancers, and tyre repair kits. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
