We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wheel Alignment Technician in Idukki. The Wheel Alignment Technician will be responsible for inspecting and adjusting vehicle wheel alignments to ensure proper handling, tire wear, and safety. Responsibilities: Vehicle Inspection: Perform visual inspections of vehicle suspension components, steering systems, and tire condition to identify signs of misalignment, wear, or damage. Use measuring tools and diagnostic equipment to assess alignment angles and vehicle geometry. Wheel Alignment: Use computerized wheel alignment equipment to measure and adjust wheel angles, including camber, caster, and toe, according to manufacturer specifications and recommended tolerances. Ensure that wheels are aligned correctly to minimize tire wear and optimize vehicle performance. Tire Inspection and Rotation: Inspect tires for signs of uneven wear, tread depth, and damage. Recommend tire rotation patterns and perform tire rotations as needed to promote even tire wear and extend tire lifespan. Steering and Suspension Repair: Identify and address issues with steering and suspension components that may affect wheel alignment, such as worn ball joints, tie rods, bushings, and control arms. Perform necessary repairs or replacements to restore proper alignment and handling. Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, explaining alignment procedures, results, and recommendations in a clear and understandable manner. Provide estimates for alignment services and additional repairs as needed. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all alignment services performed, including vehicle information, alignment specifications, adjustments made, and parts replaced. Document any additional recommendations or concerns for customer reference. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when operating alignment equipment and working on vehicles. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries. Requirements: Prior experience as a Wheel Alignment Technician or Automotive Technician preferred but not required. Willing to train candidates with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with wheel alignment equipment, tools, and procedures. Strong attention to detail and precision in alignment adjustments. Ability to interpret alignment readings and diagnose alignment-related issues. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with customers professionally. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and maneuver vehicle components and equipment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
