As a Juice Maker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of fresh juices, smoothies, and other beverages to meet the preferences and expectations of customers in a restaurant, juice bar, or café setting. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient production of high-quality, flavorful, and visually appealing beverages while maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering refreshing and nutritious drinks. Responsibilities: Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including various fruit juices, vegetable juices, smoothies, shakes, and specialty beverages, and memorize recipes, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist customers with their selections. Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables as needed for juice and smoothie preparation, ensuring freshness, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards, and discard any spoiled or damaged produce. Juice Extraction: Operate commercial juicers, blenders, or extractors to process fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients into juice or pulp, adjusting settings and techniques to achieve desired consistency, texture, and flavor profiles. Smoothie Assembly: Combine juice or milk with fresh or frozen fruits, yogurt, ice, protein powder, and other ingredients in blender containers, and blend until smooth and creamy, customizing recipes based on customer preferences and dietary requirements. Flavor Enhancements: Enhance juices and smoothies with natural sweeteners, flavorings, and nutritional supplements, such as honey, agave syrup, ginger, mint, or protein boosters, and adjust quantities to achieve balanced and harmonious flavors. Presentation and Garnishing: Pour prepared juices and smoothies into serving glasses or containers, garnish with fresh fruit slices, mint leaves, or decorative straws, and ensure attractive presentation and cleanliness of serving areas. Specialty Beverage Preparation: Prepare specialty beverages, such as iced teas, coffees, lemonades, or mocktails, according to established recipes and customer preferences, and ensure accurate portioning and consistency in taste and appearance. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and attentive manner, take orders accurately, provide recommendations or suggestions for juice and smoothie combinations, and address any questions or concerns promptly and professionally. Cleaning and Sanitization: Clean and sanitize juicers, blenders, countertops, utensils, and other equipment and surfaces regularly throughout the shift, following established hygiene protocols and sanitation standards to prevent cross-contamination. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of fruits, vegetables, juices, dairy products, and other ingredients used in beverage preparation, replenish supplies as needed, and communicate with management regarding stock levels and ordering needs. Requirements: Previous experience as a juice maker, bartender, barista, or beverage attendant in a restaurant, juice bar, café, or similar establishment is preferred. Knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients commonly used in juice and smoothie preparation, as well as flavor combinations and nutritional benefits. Familiarity with operating commercial juicers, blenders, and other beverage equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues as needed. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the workplace. Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
