As a Technical Manager at our company in Ernakulam, you will be responsible for overseeing technical operations, managing a team of technical professionals, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to manage resources effectively will be critical in driving operational excellence and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Technical Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the technical team, including engineers, developers, and technicians, to ensure alignment with project goals, objectives, and timelines. Project Management: Manage the execution of technical projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, to deliver projects on time and within budget. Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in your field, providing technical guidance, advice, and support to the team, and resolving complex technical issues or challenges as they arise. Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and coach technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, and ensuring the development and growth of team members. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards, processes, and best practices for technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and company policies. Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, communicate technical solutions, and address client concerns or feedback throughout the project lifecycle. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity, minimize waste, and maximize project outcomes. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization, and take proactive measures to control costs, mitigate risks, and achieve financial objectives. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across technical operations. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, standards, and protocols, and promote a safe working environment for all team members. Requirements: Proven experience in technical management, project management, or a related leadership role, preferably in a technical field such as engineering, IT, or manufacturing. Strong technical background with expertise in relevant technologies, methodologies, and industry practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence team members. Solid understanding of project management principles, processes, and tools, with experience in project planning, execution, and delivery. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is required; Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and compliance frameworks is desirable. Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment. Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
