We are seeking a skilled and creative Continental Chef to join our team in Palakkad. As a Continental Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of continental dishes, ensuring high-quality meals that meet the tastes and dietary needs of our guests. The ideal candidate should have a passion for culinary excellence, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a wide variety of continental dishes, including but not limited to pasta, pizza, risotto, and European-style meats and seafood. Create and develop new menu items, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the established recipes and standards of the restaurant. Monitor and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Work closely with the management team to develop cost-effective menu options without compromising on quality. Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques, incorporating them into the menu when appropriate. Address customer inquiries and special requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Assist in planning and executing special events and catering functions as needed.
