As a Field Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and manage a team of field sales representatives to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth for the organization. You will be responsible for developing sales strategies, overseeing sales activities, and providing guidance and support to the sales team members. Your duties may include, but are not limited to: Sales Strategy and Planning: Developing sales plans, targets, and strategies in alignment with the company's overall objectives and market opportunities. Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify sales opportunities and areas for growth. Setting clear sales targets and performance goals for the field sales team. Team Leadership and Management: Recruiting, training, and onboarding field sales representatives to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. Providing leadership, guidance, and motivation to the sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver results. Conducting regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing performance improvement plans as needed. Sales Execution and Monitoring: Directing and coordinating the activities of the field sales team to ensure effective execution of sales plans and strategies. Monitoring sales performance metrics, such as sales volume, revenue, and conversion rates, and taking corrective actions as needed. Accompanying sales representatives on client visits, presentations, and negotiations to provide support and guidance. Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen the company's presence in the market. Addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Sales Training and Development: Providing ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to field sales representatives to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and customer engagement abilities. Conducting sales meetings, workshops, and training sessions to share best practices, sales techniques, and market insights. Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports on sales performance, pipeline progress, and market trends for management review. Analyzing sales data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in sales processes and strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. Providing feedback and insights from the field to support product development, marketing strategies, and customer service improvements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in field sales management, preferably in a similar industry or market segment. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve sales targets and deliver results. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics to drive decision-making. Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
