As a Chinese Cook, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Chinese cuisine while ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. Your role will involve a combination of culinary skill, creativity, and cultural knowledge to deliver dishes that delight our customers. Attention to detail, time management, and teamwork are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: Prepare a wide variety of Chinese dishes including appetizers, entrees, and desserts according to traditional recipes and customer preferences. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used within their shelf life. Monitor food supplies and equipment, and place orders when necessary to maintain adequate inventory levels. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling and storage of raw ingredients, cooking temperatures, and cleanliness of workstations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate cooking times and ensure timely delivery of orders. Experiment with new ingredients, techniques, and recipes to enhance menu offerings and keep up with culinary trends. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following hygiene regulations and guidelines. Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and cost control measures to optimize kitchen operations. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, presentation, and safety procedures. Uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence by consistently delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional service. Requirements: Proven experience as a Chinese Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering establishment. Extensive knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, ingredients, and regional cuisines. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using kitchen equipment.
