As an Automobile AC Technician in Kakkanad, Kerala, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining air conditioning systems in automobiles, including cars, trucks, and other vehicles. Your expertise in diagnosing AC system issues, repairing components, and ensuring optimal performance will contribute to the comfort and safety of vehicle occupants. You will work in collaboration with other members of the automotive repair team to provide high-quality AC services to customers. Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Inspect vehicle AC systems to identify issues, including leaks, malfunctions, and inadequate cooling. Use diagnostic equipment and tools to conduct tests and measurements to diagnose AC system problems accurately. Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and replacements on AC system components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant lines. Replace worn or damaged parts, such as seals, hoses, valves, and switches, to restore proper function. Recharge AC systems with refrigerant and lubricant according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. System Testing and Performance Checks: Conduct performance tests on AC systems to ensure proper operation and cooling capacity. Verify system pressures, temperatures, and airflow to determine if adjustments or additional repairs are needed. Test electronic controls, sensors, and switches to diagnose electrical issues affecting AC system performance. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on AC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components. Check for refrigerant leaks, worn belts, loose connections, and other potential problems during maintenance inspections. Recommend preventive maintenance services to customers to prolong the lifespan of their AC systems and prevent costly repairs. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of AC system repairs, parts used, and labor hours expended. Prepare service reports and documentation for customers, including explanations of repairs performed and recommendations for future maintenance. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their AC system concerns, provide explanations of repair procedures, and address any questions or concerns. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with customers and colleagues. Requirements: Proven experience as an Automobile AC Technician or HVAC Technician specializing in automotive applications. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing automotive AC systems, including knowledge of refrigeration principles and AC system components. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used for troubleshooting AC system issues. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex AC system problems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Certification or training in automotive air conditioning repair or HVAC systems is preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
