As a Denter in Kakkanad, Kerala, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring the bodywork of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and other automobiles. Your expertise in dent repair, panel replacement, and surface finishing will contribute to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of vehicles. You will work in collaboration with other members of the automotive repair team to deliver high-quality services to customers. Responsibilities: Vehicle Inspection and Assessment: Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage to body panels, frames, and structures. Identify areas requiring dent repair, panel replacement, or surface refinishing based on visual inspection and diagnostic tests. Dent Repair and Panel Replacement: Use specialized tools and equipment to repair dents, dings, and creases in vehicle body panels. Remove damaged panels and replace them with new or refurbished parts as needed. Straighten and align vehicle frames and structures to restore structural integrity and safety. Surface Preparation and Refinishing: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming areas to be painted. Apply paint and finish coatings to vehicle surfaces using spray guns, brushes, or other painting equipment. Blend paint colors and textures to match existing vehicle finishes and achieve seamless repairs. Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication work to repair or replace damaged metal components, such as body panels, frames, and structural elements. Use welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding, to join metal parts securely and permanently. Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that all repairs meet industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations. Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify the accuracy and completeness of repairs before returning vehicles to customers. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of repairs, including work performed, parts used, and labor hours expended. Prepare estimates and quotes for repair work and communicate them to customers in a clear and concise manner. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their repair needs, provide explanations of repair procedures, and address any questions or concerns. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with customers and colleagues. Requirements: Proven experience as a Denter or Auto Body Technician in an automotive repair shop or collision center. Proficiency in dent repair techniques, panel replacement, welding, and surface refinishing. Knowledge of automotive body materials, tools, and equipment used in dent repair and panel replacement. Familiarity with vehicle makes and models, including structural components and safety features. Certification or training in automotive body repair, collision repair, or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality workmanship. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various positions for extended periods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
