As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, order, and hygiene within the premises of a hospitality establishment. Responsibilities: Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including scrubbing sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs, and replenishing towels and toiletries. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items in guest rooms and public areas to maintain cleanliness and appearance. Vacuum and mop floors in guest rooms, corridors, hallways, and other common areas to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly, following recycling and waste management guidelines. Clean and maintain common areas, such as lobbies, lounges, corridors, and stairways, by sweeping, mopping, and dusting surfaces. Clean and polish glass surfaces, such as windows, mirrors, and glass doors, to ensure they are free from smudges and streaks. Replenish supplies, such as towels, linens, toiletries, and cleaning products, in guest rooms and public areas as needed. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor or management for resolution. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and according to established standards. Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained in a timely and thorough manner. Assist with special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning, carpet shampooing, and upholstery cleaning, as directed by management. Provide friendly and professional customer service to guests, responding to inquiries and requests promptly and courteously. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance cleaning skills and knowledge of best practices in housekeeping and sanitation. Requirements: Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals commonly used in commercial cleaning operations. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying heavy objects. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to completing tasks thoroughly and efficiently. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
