Job Description: 1. Job Placement Coordination: Coordinate with various educational institutions, vocational training centers, and employers to understand their employment needs and requirements. Liaise with local industries, companies, and organizations to identify potential job opportunities for students or trainees. Maintain an up-to-date database of job vacancies and employment opportunities in various sectors. 2. Career Counseling: Provide career counseling and guidance to students or trainees regarding their career options, job prospects, and skill development requirements. Conduct workshops, seminars, and individual counseling sessions to help students develop job search skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, and networking. 3. Employer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, recruiters, and industry representatives to facilitate job placements for students or trainees. Organize job fairs, recruitment drives, and industry-specific events to connect students with potential employers and promote employment opportunities. 4. Placement Support: Assist students or trainees in preparing job applications, resumes, and cover letters tailored to specific job opportunities. Coordinate interviews, job assessments, and placement tests for students or trainees with prospective employers. Follow up with employers and students to ensure successful job placements and gather feedback for improvement. 5. Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student placements, including employment status, salary details, and employer feedback. Generate reports and analytics on placement trends, job market demand, and student employment outcomes to inform program improvements and decision-making. 6. Networking and Collaboration: Collaborate with other placement officers, career counselors, and educational institutions within Idukki and across Kerala to share best practices, resources, and job leads. Attend relevant professional development workshops, conferences, and networking events to stay updated on industry trends and employment practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Counseling, or Education. A Master's degree is preferred. Prior experience in career counseling, job placement, human resources, or related fields. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of local industries, labor market trends, and employment regulations in Idukki. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office, database management software, and online job portals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
