As an Accountant in Wayanad, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Responsibilities: Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to optimize financial performance. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support strategic goals. Conduct regular internal audits to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to internal controls. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements. Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA or CA preferred. Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a similar industry or location. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and local regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. High level of integrity and ethical conduct in handling financial information. Knowledge of Kerala's tax laws and regulations is advantageous. Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities and requirements.
