AC Technician Job Opening in Kottayam

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician to join our team in Kottayam. As an AC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your role will involve diagnosing HVAC problems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of air conditioning units. Responsibilities: Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, including central AC units, split systems, window AC units, and ductless mini-split systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and checking refrigerant levels, to ensure the proper functioning and efficiency of AC units. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues with air conditioning systems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and fan motors, to restore functionality and performance. Test AC systems for leaks, pressure, and temperature differentials using gauges and meters, and make adjustments as needed. Perform system checks and troubleshooting to identify and resolve malfunctions, inefficiencies, and performance issues. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe work practices and prevent accidents or injuries. Keep accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and labor hours. Provide recommendations to customers regarding repair, replacement, or upgrade options for their AC systems. Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repair options, and service recommendations. Collaborate with other technicians and HVAC professionals to coordinate work schedules and share expertise. Stay updated on industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems and equipment. Requirements: Diploma or certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or related field. Proven experience as an AC Technician or HVAC Technician, preferably in a residential or commercial setting. Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration principles, and HVAC components. Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools, meters, and equipment. Familiarity with electrical wiring, circuitry, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces. Strong communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
