We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Restaurant Cashier to join our team in Ramanattukara. As a Restaurant Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer payments, handling cash transactions, and providing excellent customer service. Your role will involve ensuring accurate and efficient cash handling while maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Responsibilities: Greet customers as they enter the restaurant and assist them with their orders. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system. Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments from customers in a prompt and courteous manner. Calculate and provide accurate change to customers. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including cash register, credit card terminal, and receipt printer. Ensure that all transactions are recorded correctly in the POS system. Verify the authenticity of currency and credit cards to prevent fraud. Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift and reconcile any discrepancies. Provide information to customers about menu items, promotions, and special offers. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Follow all safety, sanitation, and security procedures to maintain a safe and secure working environment. Assist with other tasks as needed, including cleaning tables, restocking supplies, and assisting with food preparation. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role, preferably in the restaurant industry. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills. Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly. Positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional customer service. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
