We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Billing Clerk to join our team in Ramanattukara. As a Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our customers. Your responsibilities will include generating invoices, processing payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining billing records in compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Generate and process accurate invoices for products and services rendered to customers. Verify billing data and ensure that invoices are complete and error-free. Review sales orders, contracts, and purchase orders to determine billing requirements. Calculate and apply appropriate taxes, discounts, and fees to invoices as necessary. Prepare billing statements and reports for management review. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments. Coordinate with sales, customer service, and other departments to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies. Process payments received from customers, including cash, checks, credit card transactions, and electronic payments. Reconcile billing records with financial statements and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and documentation. Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements. Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders regarding billing-related inquiries. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience as a Billing Clerk, Billing Coordinator, or similar role. Strong understanding of billing processes, invoicing systems, and accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to billing and invoicing is a plus. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks is an advantage.
