We are currently seeking a talented and experienced North Indian Cook to join our team in Ramanattukara. As a North Indian Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic North Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, biryanis, and bread like naan and parathas. Your role will involve ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation, while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a diverse range of North Indian dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and accompaniments. Follow traditional recipes and cooking techniques to ensure the authentic flavors and textures of North Indian cuisine are maintained. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of meals. Source and select high-quality ingredients, including meats, vegetables, and spices, for use in cooking. Monitor food temperatures during cooking and storage to prevent foodborne illnesses. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including work surfaces, cooking equipment, and utensils. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handwashing, food handling, and storage practices. Assist in inventory management by monitoring food supplies and informing management when ingredients need to be reordered. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and specials. Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures. Handle special dietary requests and accommodate customers with food allergies or restrictions. Uphold high standards of customer service by ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to customer preferences and expectations. Requirements: Proven experience as a North Indian Cook or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Deep knowledge of North Indian cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients. Ability to prepare a wide variety of North Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, biryanis, and bread. Strong culinary skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in culinary arts or relevant field is a plus.
