We are currently seeking Packing Staff to join our team at our facility in Palakkad. The Packing Staff will be responsible for packaging products according to company standards and ensuring that all items are prepared for shipment or distribution in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining quality and accuracy in packing operations. Responsibilities: Receive instructions and packing orders from supervisors or team leads and prioritize tasks accordingly. Prepare packaging materials, such as boxes, labels, and packing materials, for use in packing operations. Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packing, ensuring that they meet company standards and customer requirements. Package items according to specified guidelines, including arranging products in boxes, applying labels, and sealing packages securely. Use packing equipment, such as tape guns, heat sealers, and shrink-wrap machines, safely and efficiently. Ensure that all packed items are labeled accurately with the correct product information, quantity, and other relevant details. Record and maintain packing logs, including details of items packed, quantities, and any special instructions or requirements. Monitor packing supplies and inventory levels and replenish as needed to avoid shortages or disruptions in packing operations. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries during packing activities. Collaborate with other team members to ensure that packing operations run smoothly and efficiently. Assist with loading and unloading of packed items onto trucks or other vehicles for transportation, as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, including cleaning packing equipment and workstations. Communicate any issues, concerns, or discrepancies regarding packing operations to supervisors or management. Requirements: Prior experience in packing or warehouse operations is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets and deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in packing operations, with a focus on maintaining quality standards. Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Fluent in Malayalam; proficiency in English is an advantage. Basic math skills for counting, sorting, and recording quantities of packed items. Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
