The Accounts Manager plays a pivotal role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the financial health of the restaurant. They are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Moreover, the Accounts Manager collaborates with various departments to streamline financial processes and optimize cost management strategies. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide regular reports to management on financial variances. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data analysis. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required. Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee compensation. Maintain records of employee benefits, deductions, and taxes. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including processing invoices and ensuring timely payments. Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with vendors to optimize cost savings. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Present financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders. Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations, procurement, and human resources to optimize financial processes and achieve business objectives. Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Strong organizational and time management skills.
