The Accounts Manager plays a pivotal role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the financial health of the restaurant. They are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide regular reports to management on financial variances. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial data analysis. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required. Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee compensation. Maintain records of employee benefits, deductions, and taxes. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, including processing invoices and ensuring timely payments. Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with vendors to optimize cost savings. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Present financial reports and analysis to senior management and stakeholders. Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
