We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team at our esteemed restaurant in Palakkad. As a Restaurant Captain, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining area, providing exceptional service to our guests, and leading the restaurant staff by example. Responsibilities: Greet guests warmly as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide them with menus. Take food and beverage orders from guests and ensure accurate relay to the kitchen and bar staff. Provide recommendations and descriptions of menu items, including specials and promotions. Ensure that all guests' needs are met promptly and courteously throughout their dining experience. Supervise the restaurant staff during service hours, assigning duties and ensuring adherence to service standards. Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and table settings. Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction. Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining quality and presentation standards. Oversee the setup and breakdown of the dining area before and after service, including arranging tables and chairs and ensuring proper stocking of supplies. Train and mentor new restaurant staff members, providing guidance on service procedures, menu knowledge, and customer interactions. Requirements: Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or similar role in the hospitality industry. Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including wine and cocktail service. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in Malayalam and proficiency in English communication. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Knowledge of basic computer operations, including POS systems, preferred. Certification or training in food safety and hygiene practices is advantageous. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to contribute to the success of the restaurant team.
