A Commis 1 (First Commis or Senior Commis Chef) is a skilled line cook who works under the direct supervision of the Chef de Partie (CDP) or Sous Chef, prepares consistent and high-quality food, and often helps guide junior commis chefs (Commis 2 and 3).
