A Cutting In-Charge in a garment manufacturing unit oversees the entire cutting room floor, ensuring fabric is laid, marked, and cut accurately to feed the sewing lines without delay. Production Planning: Plan daily and weekly cutting schedules based on the factory's line loading and sewing capacity plans. Marker & Fabric Verification: Check markers, ratios, fabric width, GSM, and shade bands before bulk cutting starts. Wastage Control: Monitor fabric consumption, minimize waste, and track balance fabric or short quantities.
