Job Description
We are hiring a qualified Optometrist for our optical shop located in Thrissur and Kochi. The candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, assessing vision problems, and prescribing appropriate corrective lenses. Key duties include performing refraction tests, checking visual acuity, and diagnosing common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. The Optometrist will also assist customers in selecting suitable frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle needs. Additional responsibilities include ensuring proper fitting of spectacles, providing guidance on lens types and coatings, and maintaining accurate patient records. The role requires coordination with optical technicians for lens fitting and quality checks. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-friendly attitude are essential. Candidates with a Diploma or Degree in Optometry are preferred. Both male and female candidates can apply. Prior experience in optical retail or clinics will be an added advantage. Salary will be based on experience and performance.
