Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire furniture manufacturing process, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively. The role involves planning and coordinating daily production activities, supervising factory operations including woodworking, machining, assembly, finishing, and polishing, and ensuring that all products are manufactured according to approved drawings and specifications. The Production Manager works closely with the design, procurement, and project teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and smooth execution of production schedules. The position also includes monitoring productivity, controlling material wastage and production costs, maintaining quality standards, ensuring workplace safety, managing machine maintenance, and leading production personnel to achieve operational excellence. Additionally, the Production Manager is responsible for workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding of skilled factory workers, identifying training needs, evaluating employee performance, and building a competent production team capable of meeting the company's manufacturing and delivery objectives while consistently producing high-quality furniture products on time and within budget.
