Housekeeping Trainee Job Opening in Kollam

The IET Housekeeping Trainee assists in the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. The main responsibility is to learn proper cleaning procedures, maintain cleanliness and order in all assigned areas, and assist senior staff to ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction. Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and bathrooms according to established hygiene standards. Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish guest supplies like toiletries and towels. Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts with linens, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals. Learn the proper and safe usage of various cleaning equipment and agents.Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to a supervisor. Communicate and coordinate with other hotel departments, such as the front office and maintenance, for seamless operations. Assist guests with special requests in a timely and courteous manner. Maintain the highest standards of guest confidentiality and privacy at all times. Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures. Experience: Previous housekeeping experience is not required, as this is a training position. Personal attributes: Strong attention to detail and a proactive, observant approach. A high degree of reliability, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
