Job Description: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure the efficient operation of all service-related activities. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing service operations, managing the service team, and delivering exceptional customer service to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of repairs and services. Supervise and mentor service advisors, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team effectiveness and productivity. Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and performance standards to uphold quality workmanship, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. Monitor service performance metrics, such as repair turnaround time, customer satisfaction scores, and service revenue, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve departmental goals. Collaborate with the parts department to optimize parts inventory levels, streamline parts ordering processes, and ensure availability of parts for service jobs. Handle escalated customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues, working to resolve conflicts and ensure customer satisfaction. Conduct regular meetings with service staff to communicate departmental objectives, provide updates on performance metrics, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, customer interactions, and service histories, using the service management system. Stay informed about industry trends, advancements in automotive technology, and manufacturer updates to ensure service department readiness and competence. Uphold company policies and procedures regarding employee conduct, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field; additional certifications in automotive service management are preferred. Proven experience in a managerial role within the automotive service industry, with at least 5 years of experience managing service operations. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve common goals. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, repair procedures, and diagnostic techniques. Proficiency in computer applications and software systems for service management, scheduling, and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions and implement effective solutions. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
