We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Spare Parts Incharge in Trivandrum. Job Description: As a Spare Parts Incharge, you will be responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, and distribution of spare parts for motorcycles, scooters, and other two-wheeled vehicles. Your role will involve: Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, including stock levels, reorder points, and movement tracking. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure data integrity. Procurement and Purchasing: Source, negotiate, and purchase spare parts from suppliers/vendors based on inventory requirements and demand forecasts. Monitor stock levels and initiate procurement orders in a timely manner to prevent stockouts and shortages. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers/vendors, ensuring timely delivery of spare parts and adherence to quality standards. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements. Stock Replenishment: Monitor demand patterns and consumption rates for spare parts to determine optimal stocking levels and reorder quantities. Implement efficient replenishment strategies to minimize stock holding costs while ensuring availability of critical parts. Warehousing and Storage: Oversee the organization and storage of spare parts in the warehouse or storage facility. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and shelving of parts to facilitate easy retrieval and inventory management. Dispatch and Distribution: Coordinate the dispatch and distribution of spare parts to internal service centers/workshops or external customers. Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, and invoices for outbound shipments, and ensure timely delivery. Quality Control: Inspect incoming spare parts for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications and standards. Reject or return defective or non-conforming parts and work with suppliers/vendors to resolve issues promptly. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of spare parts transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments. Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and procurement activities for management review and decision-making. Team Supervision: Supervise and train subordinate staff members involved in spare parts handling, warehousing, and logistics operations. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure team effectiveness and productivity. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in spare parts management, inventory control, or procurement, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of spare parts cataloging, identification, and classification systems. Proficiency in inventory management software/systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. Familiarity with local suppliers/vendors and spare parts market preferred.
