We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Restaurant Captain in Kumily. As a Restaurant Captain, you will oversee the dining area, manage the service staff, and ensure that guests receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience. Responsibilities: Guest Reception: Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant, escort them to their tables, and provide them with menus. Assist guests with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests or preferences. Order Taking: Take guests' food and beverage orders accurately and promptly, ensuring that all special requests or dietary restrictions are noted and communicated to the kitchen and bar staff. Menu Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations. Be prepared to provide detailed descriptions of menu items and answer any questions from guests. Upselling and Promotion: Recommend appetizers, entrees, desserts, and beverages to enhance guests' dining experience and increase sales. Highlight daily specials or promotions and provide information on wine pairings or cocktail options. Service Coordination: Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages to guests' tables. Monitor the progress of orders and communicate any delays or issues to guests proactively. Quality Control: Inspect dishes and drinks before they are served to guests to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards. Address any discrepancies or concerns with kitchen or bar staff as needed. Guest Engagement: Interact with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or requests promptly and courteously. Solicit feedback and take action to resolve any issues or complaints. Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor service staff, including waiters, waitresses, and busboys, to ensure they perform their duties effectively and adhere to service standards. Provide training and guidance as needed. Table Maintenance: Monitor the cleanliness and appearance of tables, chairs, and dining areas, ensuring they are properly set up and maintained throughout service. Coordinate with cleaning staff to address any cleanliness issues promptly. Billing and Payment: Present bills to guests accurately, process payments using cash, credit cards, or digital payment methods, and provide change as needed. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return. Requirements: Prior experience (2-3 years) in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, with the capacity to manage and motivate a team of service staff. Extensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine and cocktail selections. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak dining hours. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Proficiency in using POS systems and handling billing transactions. Formal education or training in hospitality management or related field is an advantage.
