We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draughtsman to join our team in Kochi. As a Civil Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, including buildings, roads, bridges, and infrastructure. Your drawings will serve as essential blueprints for construction and renovation projects, and your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of these projects. Responsibilities: Drafting and Design: Create accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Translate conceptual designs and sketches into precise drawings that adhere to industry standards and specifications. Site Surveys: Assist in conducting site surveys and measurements to gather necessary data for drafting and design purposes. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and surveyors to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings. Architectural Drawings: Prepare architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. Incorporate design elements, dimensions, and annotations as per project requirements. Structural Drawings: Develop structural drawings and details for foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and other structural components of buildings and infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with structural engineering principles and local building codes. Civil Engineering Plans: Generate civil engineering plans for roads, highways, bridges, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure projects. Include accurate dimensions, grades, profiles, and cross-sections to guide construction activities. Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to review and revise drawings as needed throughout the design and construction phases. Address feedback, incorporate changes, and ensure timely delivery of revised drawings. Documentation: Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Create drawing archives and document control systems to track versions and revisions accurately. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and reviews of drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards. Address any discrepancies or inconsistencies promptly to maintain drawing integrity. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, CAD software advancements, and relevant regulations and standards. Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in drafting and design. Requirements: Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field. Proven experience (2-3 years) as a Civil Draughtsman or CAD Technician in the construction or engineering industry. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D, with strong drafting skills and attention to detail. Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and building codes. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Understanding of surveying techniques and equipment is preferred. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus.
