As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities: Electrical Installation: Install, test, and commission electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control panels, following electrical codes and blueprints. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues promptly. Repair or replace defective components and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations. Equipment Calibration: Calibrate and adjust electrical equipment and instruments to ensure accurate performance and adherence to specifications. Conduct periodic testing and calibration checks to maintain equipment accuracy. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent electrical hazards and accidents. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, and implement corrective measures as necessary to maintain a safe working environment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventories. Complete service reports and documentation as required by company policies and regulatory requirements. Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and diagnostic tools. Analyze symptoms, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues efficiently. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, to minimize disruptions and restore functionality as quickly as possible. Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team, as well as with engineers, supervisors, and contractors, to coordinate work activities and ensure effective communication and teamwork. Training and Development: Stay updated on advances in electrical technology, codes, and regulations through ongoing training and professional development activities. Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance team capabilities. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role in an industrial or commercial setting. Thorough understanding of electrical systems, components, and principles. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers. Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
