Job Description: As a member of the Food and Beverage Service team, you will be responsible for providing attentive and efficient service to guests dining at our establishment. Your primary duties will include greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to customer needs throughout their dining experience. You will work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain high standards of service. Key Responsibilities: Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, escort them to their tables, and present menus. Provide recommendations and answer questions about menu items, specials, and beverages. Order Taking: Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, using a POS system or handwritten tickets. Pay attention to special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies, and relay orders to the kitchen and bar promptly. Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation according to restaurant standards. Monitor tables and promptly refill drinks, clear empty plates, and address any additional requests from guests. Upselling and Promotion: Suggest additional menu items, specials, or beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Promote dessert options, appetizers, and signature dishes to guests during their meal. Check Presentation and Payment Processing: Present the check to guests, process payments accurately, and handle cash, credit cards, and electronic payments securely. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return. Table Maintenance: Ensure tables are properly set with clean linens, utensils, and condiments before seating guests. Monitor table cleanliness throughout service, clearing plates, crumbs, and spills promptly to maintain a tidy dining environment. Customer Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, anticipating their needs, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly, and ensuring their overall satisfaction with the dining experience. Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to coordinate orders, ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, and maintain a smooth flow of service during busy periods. Cleaning and Resetting: Assist with restaurant cleaning and resetting procedures, including wiping down tables, chairs, and condiment holders, and restocking service stations with utensils, napkins, and beverages. Qualifications: Previous experience in food and beverage service or hospitality preferred. Strong knowledge of food and beverage menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Basic math skills for order taking and payment processing.
