Job Description: As a Tyre Patch Worker, you will be responsible for repairing punctures, cuts, and other damage on tires to restore their integrity and functionality. Your primary duties will include identifying tire damage, assessing repair feasibility, applying patches and plugs, and ensuring proper sealing and inflation of repaired tires. You will work closely with the service team to deliver efficient and effective tire repair solutions to our customers. Key Responsibilities: Tire Inspection: Inspect tires for punctures, cuts, nails, screws, or other types of damage, and assess the extent and location of the damage to determine if it can be repaired safely. Puncture Repair: Remove foreign objects from tire punctures using appropriate tools, such as pliers or awls, and prepare the puncture area for patching or plugging. Patch Application: Apply tire patches or plugs to seal punctures and cuts, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards for tire repair procedures. Patch Adhesion: Ensure proper adhesion and sealing of patches or plugs to the tire surface, using adhesive compounds or vulcanizing materials to bond patches securely and prevent air leaks. Patch Reinforcement: Reinforce tire patches with additional layers of rubber or fabric materials, if necessary, to enhance patch durability and resistance to wear and tear. Quality Assurance: Conduct leak tests and pressure checks on repaired tires to verify the effectiveness of repairs and ensure proper inflation and sealing of tires before returning them to customers. Customer Service: Interact with customers to explain tire repair options, provide repair estimates, and address any questions or concerns they may have regarding tire maintenance and safety. Documentation: Record all tire repair activities, including repair procedures, materials used, and customer information, accurately in service logs, repair orders, or computerized databases for billing and record-keeping purposes. Qualifications: Previous experience in tire repair, patching, or automotive maintenance preferred. Strong technical skills and knowledge of tire repair techniques and procedures.
