Job Description: As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, repairing, and maintaining tires on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and motorcycles. Your primary duties will include mounting and balancing tires, performing tire rotations, conducting tire inspections, and recommending suitable tires to customers based on their vehicle specifications and driving needs. Key Responsibilities: Tire Fitting: Mount, balance, and install tires on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment, ensuring proper alignment, fitment, and torque specifications are met according to manufacturer guidelines. Tire Repairs: Inspect tires for damage, punctures, and wear, and perform tire repairs such as patching, plugging, and tread repairs as needed to restore tire integrity and safety. Tire Maintenance: Perform tire rotations, air pressure checks, and tread depth inspections to prolong tire life and ensure even wear patterns, recommending tire replacements when necessary. Wheel Alignment: Assist with wheel alignment procedures, including measuring wheel angles, adjusting camber, caster, and toe settings, and aligning wheels to manufacturer specifications for optimal vehicle handling and tire performance. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their tire needs, provide expert advice and recommendations on tire selection, tread patterns, and tire brands, and address any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding tire maintenance and safety. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of tire inventory, including stock levels, tire sizes, brands, and specifications, and assist with ordering and replenishing tires as needed to meet customer demand. Qualifications: Previous experience as a tyre fitter, automotive technician, or similar role in the automotive industry.
