Job Description: As a member of the Banquet Staff, you will be responsible for assisting in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events hosted at our venue. Your primary objective will be to provide attentive service to guests, ensure the smooth flow of events, and uphold the standards of excellence that our establishment is known for. Key Responsibilities: Event Setup: Assist in setting up banquet rooms and event spaces according to the specifications provided, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, decorations, and audiovisual equipment. Guest Assistance: Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their designated areas, and provide assistance with seating arrangements, coat check, and any special requests or accommodations. Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests during events, following established service standards and ensuring accuracy in orders and presentation. Bussing and Clearing: Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils during and after events, ensuring a clean and organized dining environment for guests. Refilling Supplies: Monitor and replenish supplies such as water, condiments, and tableware throughout events to ensure guest satisfaction and uninterrupted service. Assisting Event Hosts: Provide assistance and support to event hosts, coordinators, or speakers as needed, including coordinating audiovisual equipment, distributing materials, and addressing last-minute requests. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling of equipment, adherence to food safety standards, and compliance with venue policies and procedures. Problem Solving: Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from supervisors or management as needed to ensure guest satisfaction. Cleanup and Breakdown: Assist in clearing event spaces, dismantling equipment, and cleaning up after events, ensuring that the venue is returned to its original condition. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Banquet Staff, kitchen staff, event planners, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination and execution of events. Qualifications: Previous experience in banquet or event services preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric attitude. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks. Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and banquet setup.
