Job Description: As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and other designated areas of the establishment. Your primary objective will be to uphold the cleanliness standards of the company and contribute to a positive guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Room Cleaning: Clean and tidy guest rooms according to established standards, including making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities. Bathroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, surfaces, and amenities, including toilets, sinks, tubs, and showers, to ensure hygiene and guest comfort. Public Area Cleaning: Clean and maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, corridors, hallways, elevators, and lounges, ensuring a neat and inviting environment for guests. Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, paying attention to high-traffic areas and spillages for thorough cleaning. Trash Disposal: Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials from guest rooms, public areas, and work areas, ensuring proper segregation and disposal according to waste management guidelines. Linen Management: Collect used linens and towels from guest rooms and public areas, and replenish with fresh linens as needed, following established procedures for handling and storage. Inventory Control: Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies, amenities, and cleaning products, ensuring adequate stock levels for daily operations. Room Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance issues, cleanliness discrepancies, or guest requests, and address them promptly. Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or guest concerns to the housekeeping supervisor or management for timely resolution. Adhering to Safety Standards: Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), and prevention of slip and fall hazards. Qualifications: Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles preferred. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work daytime, evening, or weekend shifts as required by operational needs.
