We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team in Kannur. The Driver will be responsible for transporting passengers and goods safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers and goods to their destinations in and around Kannur. Follow designated routes and schedules provided by the company, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies while driving company vehicles. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate authorities. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, both inside and outside, and ensure proper maintenance, including regular cleaning and refueling. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, as needed, and provide courteous and professional customer service at all times. Handle cargo and goods with care, ensuring proper loading, securing, and unloading to prevent damage or loss during transportation. Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, trip logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities, and submit reports to the supervisor as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate schedules, routes, and delivery requirements. Respond to emergency situations or incidents on the road promptly and responsibly, following company protocols and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and respect the privacy of passengers and clients during transportation. Attend training sessions and safety meetings as required by the company to enhance driving skills and knowledge of safety regulations. Requirements: Valid driver's license issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) or relevant authority. Proven experience as a driver, with a minimum of 2-3 years of driving experience, preferably in a commercial or professional capacity. Clean driving record with no history of accidents, traffic violations, or license suspensions. Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations, traffic laws, and driving etiquette. Familiarity with local roads, routes, and landmarks in Kannur and surrounding areas. Ability to operate and maintain vehicles safely and efficiently, including manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with passengers, clients, and colleagues. Physical fitness and stamina to sit for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Reliable and responsible attitude with a commitment to punctuality, reliability, and professionalism. Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
