Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning drains, replacing washers, and lubricating fittings to prevent plumbing problems and extend system lifespan. Test plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, and proper water flow, using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing equipment, and other diagnostic tools. Install and connect water supply lines, drainage systems, and gas lines according to building codes and safety regulations. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to coordinate plumbing installations and renovations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, invoices, and inventory of plumbing materials and equipment. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and advancements in plumbing systems to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements: Proven experience working as a plumbing technician, with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training is required. Valid plumber's license issued by the State Plumbing Board or relevant authority. Thorough knowledge of plumbing principles, codes, and regulations governing plumbing installations and maintenance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for working with tools and equipment. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and climbing. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed to respond to emergencies or meet project deadlines.
