We are seeking a skilled South Indian Chef to join our culinary team in Wayanad. As a South Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian dishes, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have a passion for South Indian cuisine, strong cooking skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of South Indian dishes including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambars, rasam, curries, and chutneys. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to traditional recipes and maintain authenticity in flavors. Oversee the kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Monitor food stock levels and order supplies as needed to maintain inventory. Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes, cooking techniques, and safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop new menu items and specials. Address customer inquiries and special requests regarding South Indian cuisine. Manage kitchen equipment and appliances, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality. Stay updated with industry trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques related to South Indian cuisine. Requirements: Proven experience working as a South Indian Chef or similar role, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or resort setting. In-depth knowledge of South Indian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a wide range of South Indian dishes. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. Food safety certification and knowledge of hygiene standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized culinary school is preferred. Ability to speak Malayalam or Hindi is an advantage.
