Job Summary: We are looking for a talented North Indian Chef to lead our North Indian cuisine section and deliver authentic and flavorful North Indian dishes to our customers. The North Indian Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation in our restaurant in Wayanad. Responsibilities: Plan and create innovative and authentic North Indian dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, that meet our restaurant's standards and customer preferences. Coordinate with the Head Chef and restaurant management to develop menus, recipes, and special promotions for the North Indian cuisine section. Ensure the freshness, quality, and consistency of ingredients used in North Indian dishes, including meats, vegetables, spices, and gravies. Oversee the preparation and cooking of North Indian dishes, supervising kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and cooking techniques. Monitor food inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen stock to minimize waste and control costs. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the North Indian cuisine section, following food safety standards and regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff on North Indian cooking techniques, plating presentations, and food safety practices. Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of orders. Stay updated on North Indian culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients, and incorporate new ideas into menu offerings. Assist in maintaining a positive work environment in the kitchen, fostering teamwork, and promoting open communication among staff members. Requirements: Proven experience as a North Indian Chef or Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or culinary establishment. Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of North Indian cuisine, cooking techniques, and authentic recipes. Creative flair and passion for cooking, with the ability to develop unique and delicious North Indian dishes. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a focus on maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen.
